Authentic Mexican food with quality ingredients. If I'd live in Leipzig I'd come here all the time. Mexican approves!
One of the few original Mexicans in Leipzig. Very tasty, the fresh products are reflected in the price. I find absolutely proportionate. Friendly staff
Very nice place with tasty food and good drinks! A place you should visit specially if you are a Spanish speaker!
The food, once saddle of lamb and once tacos, was delicious. Likewise the cocktails. However, we found the price to be quite excessive, especially with the very small portion sizes. 22 € for a small piece of meat and a dab of (lukewarm) potato purée. I didn't get full of it. The waiter was alone and accordingly we had to wait a long time for him. In itself friendly, but very brief and could have pointed out the small portions to us.
Really awesome place. Original Mexican food and the margarita will take off your shoes. Again and again
We spontaneously decided to visit on Saturday, as we have been in good hands there several times. Of course we knew from the other times there that there were only small fine dishes to eat. This year it was our first visit (due to Corona) and we were very disappointed with the very reduced menu. It was already exquisite, but what awaited us was more than disappointing. And for tiny little rolls filled with duck meat for a good 11 € and a more than simple tomato salad just under 7 €, which was really nothing else, you can be a bit angry. The topic of drinks has also changed. But I'm silent about that. The fact that the drinks menu was black and the writing on it was silver is also new. In the light conditions that I find suitable, but not suitable for reading. Some of the guests who came left after reading the card. I think that's a shame. But the offer is no longer tempting either. It's also a shame for this otherwise great place, which is not out for the crowd and offered typical Mexican food. Especially in the difficult economic time (due to Corona), I would not have expected this. We will probably not visit this restaurant again because it has lost to Reitz. Maybe if something changes again on the map.
Nice service, great tomato salad, small menu, everything fresh
Very poor service
The starters tasted good, only the price was overpriced. But the main course was sensational !!! I ate octopus and my friend ate salmon. Recommendable only. Nice service.
very modern, the service is good and the food is quite good ... perfect place to meet friends and have a cocktail
Great food, which is a bit expensive, but worth every penny.
Taco Tuesday ❤️
Nice service. The food was tasty but not exceptional. We were there spontaneously with a larger group, which was not a problem, but unfortunately we had waited almost an hour for the food, which was a shame because we were really hungry. Price / performance is not entirely consistent and very expensive for Leipzig. But since the service was good and the food was delicious, you should choose it consciously, then it can be very good.
The best Mexican bar in town. The food is sensational. The flair is incredible. The ambience and hospitality warm and friendly. MY RECOMMENDATION!
The food was exquisite and the staff is very friendly and fast. It is expensive but worth it.
Fantastic tacos, probably the best I've eaten in Germany so far. Cocktails are also highly recommended.
Would say quality, not expensive. Amazing food, cocktails and service. 5 stars
With a new twist, the food is more Mexican than ever. It is not for nothing that it is run by people who come from Mexico and know what they are doing! With the exception of one dish, all dishes are vegetarian and some are also available vegan. Most often mushrooms are used for this. Top
So far, the food has always been delicious, easy to digest and very authentic. Since I was there for a long time last night, I have suffered from severe stomach cramps and diarrhea. My companion is doing exactly. It's a shame, but I won't be back either. In addition, my plate was dirty and the selection of dishes is sometimes no longer typically Mexican. The place is certainly having corona-related difficulties and I understand that the number of dishes has been reduced, but the quality should not be lacking. The service was very friendly and accommodating
It was just great, in the middle of the neighborhood!
Food not that great. Staff was nice. there were four available entrees: lamb, octopus, pork belly, and fish. So we were forced to just eat the appetizers. We certainly did not over-eat.
Not proper Mexican food. Very overpriced, very small portions and served cold. We left very disappointed and hungry.
That's just great! A 5 ***** visit to Karl-Heine-Strasse in Leipzig The Mexican food on the menu is clear, but there is something for everyone - from vegetarian to meat. Each meat dish can also be modified to a vegetarian meal using a mushroom variation. We tried each starter as a group ... it was perfect. You can recognize a good Mexican by the guacamole and I have never eaten a better one. The service is absolutely nice, courteous and helpful. It is a nice place and also invites you to eat outside. At the end there was a delicious tequila. Gladly again very soon!
Very good and authentic Mexican food with great service!
Daylight robbery. Extremely overpriced and the duck tacos (de pato) are the worst, cardboard in flavour. Staff are nice.
My husband and I are completely pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back, the location is easy to reach! The good transport connections make a jaunt there possible. The correctness of the staff is really impressive. The portions are in a good and filling dimension.
The restaurant had 2 main dishes on the menu: pulpo and pork belly. A vegetarian alternative with mushrooms is offered in the menu. Unfortunately, the meatless alternative consisted of a total of 3 mushrooms. To calculate this with 20 euros is absolutely wrong. I was not even getting full enough.
Service was great, food was okay and the michelada was not that great. Honestly the food was well prepared but the flavors were a bit mismatched. We had 2 starters. One was a bowl of ceviche. The fish was great but they combined it with pomegranate and figs. Both of the flavors overpowered the otherwise delicious fish. The other dish was some vegetarian taco. There was little to no flavor and it was missing a bit of lime and some chili. Our main dish was pork belly and it was perfectly cooked and the flavor was good. Overall, the cooking was great but the chef could maybe use a second opinion on the monthly menu.
Food is incredible and the owners are very welcoming and likeable people
The service her was great! Some days it can really suck, depending on who's working and how busy they are. English is spoken, if you German isn't so great. I am so so thankful that there is a real Mexican restaurant in town now, not the "Mexican" food that is really just Spanish food. If you have ever been to Mexico you know what I mean. Germans have a strict idea on what Mexican food is, their closed mindedness shows in their lack of knowing what good Mexican food is. Can't wait to go back again and try more amazing food!!!
Good margaritas and friendly service. Had the Baja California tacos and the fish lasagne. Both ver well prepared and tasty. Design and vibe is very cool. The bartender is a real genius. Even the lemonades are made from scratch by him as you order them.
Loved the Aztec soup
Quite expensive, small portions. Very tasty. Try the nachos with guacamole as a starter! Staff wasn't too friendly, but still polite.
Staff are friendly, but I was disappointed with the nachos. Weird runny tasteless cheese. Better would have been real cheese baked in a real oven. This was more like some cheap spray on fake cheese. Ugh.
Pleasant but nothing great. The food was cold. The staff were very friendly though.
Real Mexican food!
Very nice place. Good food, excellent service and friendly staff.
Best Mexican restaurant I have tried in Germany. Service top! Margaritas incredible! Food just like in Mexico. Thanks to Alexis.
One of the best Mexican restaurants we’ve had in Europe while living abroad. Tacos were excellent but we loved our Enchiladas and margarita! Definitely worth going out of our way to stop here after a wonderful day at the Leipzig Zoo.
One of the better out of Mexico Mexican restaurants I've been to. Really good tacos, interesting menu with different dishes to choose from. I would've liked getting salsa with my tacos though, when we asked for it we got one but said they had run out of the others, and no spicy alternative. Can definitely recommend their tacos, the tortillas were delicious and real corn ones. Will for sure return when in Leipzig
Ok. Mexican food in Germany. I usually judge Mexican restaraunts by their salsa. Their's was more like chili oil with no tomato base. But, I had the mole chicken enchiladas and loaded nachos and I liked them ok. If you need a Mexican fix this place will take care of it. I was pleasantly surprised and would go back. (was a little pricey: 2 enchilada plates, nachos, and soda water 42 euros)
A real Mexican food with friendly staff
What a place. I do not like Mexican food but the choices from Peru are incredible cool!
The best Mexican restaurant in Germany! The food, drinks, atmosphere are excellent!
Amazing. Everything is beautiful and really nice
delicious, authentic & great atmosphere, definately worthy of praise & recommended to all who crave authentic Mexican - no TexMex! The margaritas are to die for, and the nachos are the best I’ve had in Germany so far!!
These were the best ribs I had in my life. I do not mean this in hyperbole.
Let me start by saying that I'm Mexican, so I know good Mexican food when I taste it. Atmosphere: indoor seating affords you a comfortable blend of tile, brick and nice artwork. When choosing outdoor seating you will enjoy pretty lights and the shade of a big tree which I recommend for a sunny day or a warm evening. Both are enjoyable and encourage a good time. Service: while at times a bit slow, the staff was always friendly and available to clarify questions about the menu. It never took more than a look for one of kind waitresses to come your way and refill your glass, inquire over your needs or point you in the right direction to the bathroom. Food: simply delicious. My husband and I ordered Horchata and Jamaica as drinks. Both were sweet and refreshing. As entrees we chose the Queso fundido con Chorizo and the Ceviche de Pescado. Good portions and excellent mix of flavors. For the main course we selected Tacos al pastor, Carnitas and Cochinita Pibil. All of them were served with corn tortillas (as they should be) and served in the traditional Mexican way. I'm happy to note that it was not an odd combination of Tex-Mex, weird gravy or overabundance of side dishes. We were faces with two small problems: one personal and one with the restaurant. The first, the portions were a bit larger than we expected, so we couldn't finish it all. I could feel the shameful looks of my deceased abuela for not finishing my tacos. That's 100% on me. The second problem was that there were no "salsas". Any good Mexican establishment usually offers at least 2 choices (red salsa and green salsa), but here we only had the option of green salsa and it was only offered with the complimentary "nachos" (we call them "totopos"). My recommendation to them would be to add at least one more variety and leave it at the table. I'm sad (but not really) to say, we had no room for dessert. Guess we'll just HAVE to go back, try more food and leave a bit of room for dessert. Definitely something to look forward to.
The real thing! excellent and delicious, I just felt like I was transported to Mexico, best Margarita ever, authentic food, vibrant atmosphere, another tequila please... very recommended!
Excellent food! Cool vibe!
